Get your mind out of the gutter, ya’ll.
I have actually put the following item on the front the magazine, given one to Joey from Fox 13 Live on-air, and have repeatedly told people that most of the Grizz players have them: BEHOLD… the Wooden Bow Tie.
Grizzly Mike Conley (who is a FABULOUS dresser, btw) premiered this novelty neckwear last year, and I literally freaked out from sheer excitement. The tie is made by a company called Two Guys Bow Ties, and you can find them at one of the Grizzlies’ favorite clothiers, Lansky’s at the Peabody. They are super affordable (roughly $50-70) and lemme check you before you knock this look: it friggin’ works. It works for practically every single guy, preppy white-boy meteorologists to 6’10” NBA stars.
Bow ties have found a resurgence everywhere, and why not look fashion-forward in an original conversation piece that does not require you to know how to tie it?! It is a no-brainer.
However, if you only prefer ties of little animal print or seersucker, then this may not be for you because it is much too creative. And being creative with a WOODEN piece of neckwear is emasculating compared to pink seersucker or little flamingos (head slap!).
Go to Lansky’s. Buy a wooden bowtie. All of the cool kids are doing it.
